There is not a second of stagnation at the Danish Breeding Company, Danish Pig Genetics, who are now upgrading with yet another employee to their breeding department.

“Our mission is to make pig production a better business for our customers globally. Our breeding department works determinately and systematically towards developing excellent breeding animals of the future in close cooperation with our breeding- and multiplication herds and our genetic partner, Roslin Technologies. By hiring Brian Schrøder-Jørgensen we expand our internal resources which makes us capable of furthering our ongoing genetic development projects,” says Lars Dall, CEO of Danish Pig Genetics.

Self-employed farmer and experienced advisor

Brian Schrøder-Jøgensen was a self-employed farmer for 20 years until he in 2014 was hired as an advisor for Videnscenter for Svineproduktion (VSP). At VSP his work consisted of controlling and advising pig breeders both nationally and internationally. Later he was responsible for the foreign suppliers in Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands and France.

“We are constantly focused on having the right staff, so we are able to keep up with our ambitious growth plans and support our numerous new actions in the field of developing our future breeding animals. I am certain that Brian has the right genetic insight and the necessary professional overview to advice customers to create results in the modern, commercial pig production nationally and internationally,” Lars Dall explains.

Brian Schrøder-Jørgensen joined the position as Breeding Technician at Danish Pig Genetics’ headquarters in Vejle on May 13.
